Our WHY
The Inspiration behind The Circle of Faith Foundation.
Meet Jonathan
This Foundation was created in honor of the Executive Director, Brittany Worley’s, brother – Jonathan Lane. Jonathan was in a tragic accident on July 16, 2022, resulting in quadriplegia and no motor function from his chest down. Jonathan is a 39-year-old fiancé, brother, son, nephew, father, stepfather, and has the absolute best attitude even during the most challenging times. Jonathan exhibits the true definition of faith as he fights daily to gain new movement, new sensation, and refuses to let a diagnosis define the rest of his life. With his circle of family and friends by his side – they are all determined that one day Jonathan will walk again! With that, The Circle of Faith Foundation is in honor of Jonathan Lane as he courageously fights day in and day out for his medical miracle.
Meet Joe
Joe Worley was only 51 years old when he received his diagnosis of Small Cell Lung Cancer in October of 2016. Knowing the diagnosis and prognosis – Joe fought with everything he had in him and had faith that no matter the outcome, he was going to win his battle with cancer. After a short 5 months of chemotherapy, Joe passed away peacefully at home with his family by his side on March 13, 2017. During his 5-month battle, he lived life to the fullest – continuing to work, fixing up his son and future daughter-in-law’s house, cutting grass, cooking, and most importantly taking the bass boat out and going fishing with his son, Ashley Worley. Two months and 2 weeks later, Ashley and Brittany said their vows in loving memory of the best father, father-in-law, husband, brother, and son there ever was. The Circle of Faith Foundation is in loving memory of Joseph Clyde Worley, Jr. As best quoted before, “Heroes get remembered, but legends never die.”
